These animals are about 1/2 inch long and are dark gray to brown. They move slowly and usually curl up when disturbed (or when they die). Pillbugs and sowbugs are closely related to insects. They live in moist areas and feed on decaying organic material. They may move indoors through doors and windows, and may remain indoors when there are moist areas available.
Remove excessive mulch and organic matter around doors, seal doors and windows. Use a vacuum to remove from carpet, use a heater to dry the areas they are infesting. Use an insecticide granular around the perimeter of the home to put up a barrier.
